This rustic little spot belongs to the same people that opened Pat O'Shea's across the river in Louisville. It's an inviting Pub, with sort of a "grab and go" culture to it. They're known for their food, although I didn't eat any of it. They do have a small bar to sit at, but people typically walk in, order at the counter, and wait for their food. It's a fun concept, although if you're looking for the traditional Pub experience with more of a social structure, then you may not find it to a large degree here. They do have an upstairs bar area, but it looks like they only open that for either events or busy nights.

They have a really fun staff and social media game. The Pat O'Shea's group of people really know what they're doing, and I wish most Pub owners here in America would mimic what these guys are doing on almost every scale. They seem to always have some sort of event going on such as a Bloody Mary competition, seasonal themed parties, and other events to bring the community together. If I lived nearby, there's no way I'd be here just every once in a while, I'd be here almost every week.
The booths, green lighting, and exposed brick are my favorite things about H.M. Frank's. I also really like the skylight above the tap handles along with the subway tiles resting behind them. The place certainly passes the "vibe check" in regard to rustic, cozy, and unique. They didn't cut any corners here, and they took advantage of all of the natural lighting in a phenomenal way. You don't have to worry about seeing anything mass produced or gimmicky inside these walls. If you're looking for a quick lunch in Jeffersonville, Indiana, then you have options, but this place will tickle your fancy. We happened to eat lunch at a place nearby called Pearl Tap House, it's not Irish, but it's flippin' awesome. They essentially turned a charming house into a restaurant and the staff there was second to none on making you feel valued.

Speaking of nearby... Jeffersonville is so much better than Louisville if you ask me. It has a great small town feel to it, plenty of little shops and restaurants, and apparently the #1 rated candy store in America called Schimpff's. The confectionary store is a must. There are pleasant walking areas along the water that overlook downtown Louisville and the bridges, and there is a music stage along the banks as well. You'll find thrift stores, antique stores, coffee shops, a book store, a botanist, and way more enjoyable things that don't exist in downtown Louisville. If I were you, I'd consider spending the night in Jeffersonville rather than the Kentucky side.

H.M. Frank's is a solid spot. It's small, and at the end of the day there's not a whole lot to jot about. It delivers the fix and it gets the job done. The immediate surrounding area meshes perfectly, making it the icing on the bundt when spending a nice afternoon in Jeffersonville. I would have stayed and bought a house here, but I have a darts tournament to throw in that I can't turn down.
O'Shea's, you guys rock. I'll see you soon.
Oh! Just before stumbling in here, I spotted the Loch Ness Monster in the Ohio River. You're going to want to check this out.
Slainte!
