The Blarney Stone. Virginia Beach, Virginia
What I'm about to say next will certainly strike a few nerves with a few people, especially those who frequent this place and run the joint. The Blarney Stone has been here for years, and I'm sure it'll be here for more to come. So, at the end of the day, I'm going to say what I have to say and that's that.

Trinity Pub. Charlottesville, Virginia
Although, once you show up, you realize it's anything but nice, you feel out of place just for being out of school, and you spend every minute of your time waiting to finally get the hell out.

Beef 'O' Brady's. Dade City, Florida
It's funny, actually, because when you take this thing full circle: I worked inside this exact Beef 'O' Brady's kitchen after I withdrew from Saint Leo University down the street. I went to school for Hotel Restaurant/Business Management, but I realized I didn't need a degree to manage restaurants or open one of my own. I figured, instead of wasting the next 4 years of my life sitting in a classroom and paying for it, I could be out in the field gaining experience and getting

Shamrock Lounge & Package. Leesburg, Florida.
There's a printed sign on the wall that says, "No fighting, if you do, you're barred for 30 days, no exceptions." I think it's hilarious. Most Pubs will ban you for life if you pick a fight. Here at the Shammy Lounge? Eh, just disappear for 30 days, let those raccoon eyes recover, and bring a case of beer for the fridge next time you come in and we'll call it even.

O'Toole's Pub. Columbus, Ohio
An Irish Pub in an American strip mall is one that will typically suck, but has the small percent chance of blowing your mind. When I say, "suck," I'm talking about what people traditionally consider an Irish Pub to be "authentic," where many expect a touch of properness, craftsmanship, and worthy food. Any Craic Addict within the Drunken Mallard community knows that those aren't the only things that can make an American Irish Pub a fantastic one (although important).

She-nannigan's. Chicago, Illinois
A place for partygoers and club-like dancing that pours a rather poor pint of Guinness. Beer-Pong, basketball hoops, and last night's puke await.

Murphy's Bleachers. Chicago, Illinois
Cubs fans have a fun spot to watch a few innings, here. However, can a Reds fan have just as good of a time? We gave it a try.

Brehon Pub. Chicago, Illinois
Dishing out Sloppy Joes without the Craic, Brehon Pub gives Chicago a poor representation on The Drunken Mallard's list of spots.

O'Bryan's Irish Pub. Ashland, Ohio
A Pub with quite the elaborate food menu along with a gimmicky pour of Guinness. The Pub is rather clean for a place that feels so dirty.

The Killarney Rose. New York, NY.
The eye candy is here but the Craic falls a bit short. A fine Pub that pours their Guinness in a gimmicky glass.

McSwiggan's Pub. Hoboken, New Jersey.
The place smelled like one big fart when it filled up and the expensive priced Guinness comes with an average pour.

Murphy's Pubhouse. Indianapolis, Indiana
A lousy pour with a few fruit flies. Murphy's is at the end of a strip mall, and it lacks authenticity. Hobby Lobby decor and generic tables

Tracey's Original Irish Channel Bar. New Orleans, LA.
A place that used to have the craic but lost it. No Guinness on tap and essentially no Irish culture. Perhaps a BDUB's wannabe with pinball.

Maloney's Pub. Cincinnati, OH.
A slab of green paint alongside a terrible pour of Guinness. Maloney's give you one bad Irish experi with essentially zero craic.

Curnayn's Tavern. Cincinnati, OH.
A local watering hole for Old Crow that doesn't deliver any craic. Fresh smell of garbage out front with a bathroom that gives you the eek.
