Today's Dedicated Pint: Bring it Home Propane

The Pub has a beautiful name, a beautiful rooftop, a fine interior, and terrific furniture. The bar itself is crafted well, and the light fixtures alongside the wallpaper work like a charm. One thing that's consistent with the Charlotte, NC suburbs is that everything feels the same. The city of Charlotte was incredibly small prior to the nineties, and then it exploded during the internet boom. Many of the buildings and architecture around the city were built at around the same time. A lot of buildings have the same style brick, windows, and overall commercial feel to them. There's not a lot of patina or history in Charlotte, and the same can be said about Nora Mac's.

It's still fairly new in a part of town that's only getting busier and busier. I wish I had more time to spend in Nora Mac's, but I was in a full-fledged conversation with my family about writing my book, Stepping Foot Inside Every Irish Pub in America. From what I did notice, most of everything was great. I plan on stopping by again at some point to perhaps re-open the rating and potentially give it a higher score. I think it was meant to be that I didn't get much of a chance to really embrace the Pub and what it has to offer during this visit, because now it'll have the chance to grow some history, some patina, and some other things by the time I come back.

I managed to snag some photos of the spot, and I can happily say that our waitress was polite and knowledgeable. We did order some food, and it certainly gets the nod, as it's much better than what you'll get at any corporate chain restaurant. A good spot, accompanied with my smallest article about a Pub yet. Sorry for the lack of information this time around, folks! But hey, I did step foot in here!

Slainte.
