Findlay, Ohio might be known as "Flag City, USA" and to have been a prominent stop during the Underground Railroad. Heck, a few of you might say "hold on, buster, Findlay produces the most dishwashers than any other city in the world" (which is totally obvious to everyone). I know Findlay, Ohio as the home to a beautiful Irish Pub called Logan's.
They poured their first pint of Guinness in 2010 and have proudly and deservingly planted their flag in the flag city. You could call this place a "hidden gem" as not many people are going out of their way to make a pit stop in Findlay, especially for an Irish Pub experience. Hell, very few people on this planet even know it's an actual place (which is unfortunate). I'm here to give it love though, as Logan's is now officially on The Drunken Mallard's Highest Rated Pubs List.

I can't tell you what my favorite thing about the place is because it's hard to choose between a few different things. For one, the murals on the wall are phenomenal, giving your eyes a lovely treat as your head sits on a swivel. The architecture and craftsmanship are remarkable, giving you a good sense of the Irish warmth and coziness. There's a little nook under the stairs that reminded me of Harry Potter's bedroom which is called "Notan's Nook." The decor, scarves, and flags throughout the Pub are authentic and fun to look at as well. So, to be honest, I'd say that I have many favorite things about Logan's.

They have one of the best Irish Whiskey selections throughout all of Ohio and the beer choices don't disappoint either. The Guinness pour might be a little disappointing but at least it's served in a traditional pint. There's certainly some Craic as you sit at the bar that comes from both the patrons and the staff. The locals are friendly and you'll have no problem bringing your kids in here if you want a family night out.

There's a second floor for private events and the view from upstairs is rather neat as the ceilings are incredibly high. If you come during the daytime then you'll embrace a great deal of natural lighting but it's not blinding, which is nice. There are nestled booths along the wall as you head to the bathrooms and there's even a private dining area with a fireplace in the back. The limited and lousy pictures are excused for a few of the guest's privacy concerns.

I can't really find any stinkers about Logan's. It doesn't have the patina or hardcore authenticity as some Pubs in New York or Boston and the Craic isn't as great as some others. Give it another decade and perhaps that'll turn around a bit, though! I can't say that I'd recommend putting Findlay, Ohio on your bucket list, however, I undoubtably recommend that you bend your elbows at Logan's for a pint or three as it is totally worthy of being considered a "hidden gem."

Thanks for the pour, Logan's! Slainte.
